Mikumi
Tucked between the Uluguru Mountains and the plains of southern Tanzania, Mikumi offers a safari that feels both wild and accessible. It’s one of the easiest parks to reach from Zanzibar, with open landscapes full of elephants, giraffes, lions, and zebra - often without the crowds. If you’re after more of a quiet escape, Mikumi has a tranquil, untamed charm that’s easy to love.
Day Trip
Your day begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar at 07:30 to Mikumi National Park. Your Driver Guide will meet you upon arrival and take you on a full-day game drive through the park in an open-roof vehicle.

You’ll stop for a freshly prepared bush lunch, and spend the day exploring Mikumi’s landscapes and wildlife. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, buffalo, and even rare African wild dogs.
Return flight to Zanzibar departs at 16:00, with arrival back by 17:15.​

On Day 2, after breakfast, you’ll visit a local Masai village, followed by a half-day game drive. After lunch, you’ll head to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar, landing around 17:15.
