Jozani Forest
Tucked in the heart of Zanzibar lies Jozani Forest, a peaceful haven known for its unique wildlife and towering trees. This guided 3-hour walk takes you through Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, the island’s largest reserve and the last remaining sanctuary of the endangered Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey, a species found nowhere else on earth!
 
As you explore this lush paradise, you’ll be guided by a local expert who’ll introduce you to the flora and fauna of the region. Have your camera ready as the monkeys often come down from the trees to pose, play or just watch their visitors!
 
Along the way, keep an eye out for blue Sykes’ monkeys, bush babies, chameleons, and plenty of birdlife. You’ll also explore the enchanting mangrove boardwalk, learning how these vital trees protect Zanzibar’s coast.
 
Maalum Cave
After the forest, cool off at Maalum Natural Cave, a beautiful hidden pool surrounded by coral rock. Take a refreshing swim in the clear, mineral-rich water - a perfect way to end your jungle adventure.
